What a convenient way to humiliate myself publicly. At the start of this 23 things program my weight was 180 pounds. I'm only 5'6" tall, so this is way too heavy. I've decided to lose 23 pounds. Starting today I'll post my weight daily in this sidebar. Thanks to the Sodexho and Staff association luncheons this week, I've backslided from a low of 170 lbs. to 173 lbs. It may be a tough holiday season. The good news is that I can start cross-country skiing!! I've been told that exercise is good for you, so I might try it. (editor's note: I had a typo here, I said my initial weight was 175, which was low - I actually was 180, a number whose roundness shocked and disgusted me.) I never made it cross-country skiing, but I did go downhill skiing for the first time in many years. I skied on "shape-skiis" for the first time! Skiing is like riding a bike, it all came back to me on the first run. I have been getting up every morning at 4:45 and riding an exercycle for 1/2 hour, then I do some exercises and lift weights.
